Objective & Challenge

The client was desired to build an interactive dashboard for their entire Editorial team, State Heads and Content Writers (~50 readers) to understand the performance of their digital news platform.

The objective was to allow the stakeholders to visualize and evaluate the effectiveness of their content by Region, State, Language, Category, Sub-Category etc.

The challenge for the client was the BigQuery (BQ) + DataStudio integration resulted in huge billing while serving the purpose of building dashboards and wanted ViuStats to propose possible solutions that are cost effective and robust.

Solution

Increased the query efficiency and performance through BQ Clustering

Programmed queries to run faster while spending less time on partitioning logic

Created a smaller and sub-set of tables based on the business reporting needs and connected them with DataStudio
